Report on the luxury real estate market: BARNES global property handbook 2018
The new Global Property Handbook 2018 has been launched earlier this year in Geneva (Hôtel Beau-Rivage) and in Zurich (Hotel St Gotthard) for an audience of VIP clients, prescribers and journalists.
This was the 3rd edition of this annual survey, the purpose of which is:
• To observe the evolution of the UHNWI (Ultra High Net Worth Individuals) and HNWI (High Net Worth Individuals) populations, their typology and their expectations
• To detect the trends and the opportunities of the international luxury real estate market
• To rank the top cities: this year, New York City has displaced London at the top of the rankings, leaving the UK capital in 3rd place, 2nd place being Paris. Three Swiss cities are in the top 50: Geneva (31st), Basel (38th) and Zürich (39th).
