Northern Vaudois and La Broye

Northern Vaud and the Joux Valley stretch along the Jura Mountains over to Switzerland's western border with France. This region is particularly well located between Geneva and Bern.

It is the traditional center of the Swiss watchmaking industry and the home of such famous companies as Audemars-Piguet, Blancpain, Breguet and Jaeger-Le-Coultre.

In Yverdon-les-Bains, Y-Parc, the largest science and technology hub in Switzerland, provides logistics and management assistance services to companies in the fields of microtechnology, telecommunications, and aerospace and information technologies.

Yverdon-les-Bains is the main town in the region and a tourist center that has been famous for its spa waters for a very long time.

It should be noted that some towns such as Vallée de Joux and Yverdon-les-Bains are considered tourist towns under the Federal Law on the Acquisition of Real Estate by Persons Abroad (LFAIE). Therefore, foreigners who do not reside in Switzerland can purchase a holiday home under certain conditions.

Located in the northeast of Vaud, bordering the canton of Fribourg, La Broye specializes in machine engineering, food processing and civil aviation. Close to Lake Neuchâtel and Lake Morat, the region has benefited from the opening of the facilities at the military airstrip in Payerne to civil aviation. Its main towns are Oron, Moudon, Payerne and Avenches.

BARNES will be happy to meet you in its offices in the center of Yverdon to present you with the most beautiful properties in the region: gorgeous renovated farmhouses and mansions in Pomy, Vallorbe, Orbe or Marnand, beautiful homes in Yverdon-les-Bains or Suchy and even a castle in Gorgier.
