The Canton of Schwyz extends between Lake Zürich and Lake Lucerne and is one of the three founding cantons in the Swiss Confederation.
It offers very advantageous tax conditions and has excellent connectivity with Zürich, notably for the Wollerau, Pfäffikon and Lachen areas – which also enjoy spectacular views of the lake and the mountains.
The more traditional areas of Einsiedeln, Schwyz, Gersau or Brunnen are also in demand.
Schwyz not only gave its name to the country, but is also the home of the world-famous Swiss knife, produced at a rate of 25,000 per day. The tourist region around Schwyz is often dubbed the 'Swiss Knife Valley'.
